We are now seeking a Chief accountant to join the development team to be responsible for the following:

  • All Accounting, Czech Statutory Reporting, VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Road tax, Real Estate tax, Real Estate Transfer Tax and Payroll Tax compliance for 4 Czech legal entities.
  • Establishing and implementing accounting and tax policies in all areas including transfer pricing and capitalization of costs, thin capitalization.
  • Intercompany recharges, ensuring reconciliation of loan balances with holding company and within the group.
  • Primary point of contact with tax authorities and managing tax controls.
  • Management of external service providers including lawyers and tax advisors.
  • Communicating with investors on financial reporting issues.
  • Management of a team of 3 finance professionals.
  • Managing annual audit process with “Big 4” firm.
  • Human Resources agenda – hiring people, contracts, joined agenda with it – 25 people
  • Supervising an external service provider to process the payroll
  • Implementation accounting Soft Ware – new modifications
  • Supervising sales department in connection purchase prices
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS reporting
  • Statistics reporting



The following experience is essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in a senior finance position.
  • Real estate development background, preferably with experience of residential units.
  • Management of a small finance team.
  • Proficient spoken and written business English.
  • Managing annual audit process with an international audit firm.
  • Understanding of senior debt financing for a development project.
  • Responsibility for multiple Czech companies with significant inter-company transactions.

In addition, the following experience would be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of Byznys accounting software.
  • Demerger of assets into new entities.
  • Working with an international group of companies.
  • General Compliance issues such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Anti Money Laundering (AML).
  • Compliance with Czech Human Resources, health and safety and employment legislation.
